If there’s really a difference between wall tile and floor tile is something that many people ponder. The primary difference between wall and floor tile is their thickness. Because it needs to stand up to the weight of foot traffic, furniture, appliances, and other items, floor tile has to be thick. Wall tile on the other hand can be much thinner and more lightweight. You may need to take extra steps to reinforce it, you can also use floor tile as wall tile, although if it is thicker. It’s important to get it right so that the tile stays firmly in place, considering you’ll be attaching tile to the wall vertically rather than installing it horizontally on the floor. When you decide to install tile on the wall, there are some things you should know. We at Flooring Solutions of Oklahoma would like to discuss the prep involved with installing wall tile on different types of surfaces.
